On Thursday, February 8, 2018, our KG students were given the opportunity to bring their favorite toy from home and share it with their friends and teachers at school. These toys ranged from Barbie dolls, to cars, to scooters, to bicycles, and even plush animals. The children were all excited to show everyone what they had gotten, explaining in detail what their toy does and how it works. In addition to building their self-esteem and public-speaking skills during the show-and-tell session, students were also given the chance to switch toys with their peers and play with them during break, thereby learning about what it means to share and how essential that is for our community. It was a beautiful sight as students took turns sharing and playing with one another’s toys and an overall successful show-and-tell session that leaves us eager for the next one.
